Our Focus

Future Shaping Ethics supports life serving ways of being human. This is the coming together of wisdom systems, cultures, and ecology.

Diversity in Wisdom Systems

In Indigenous traditions, knowledge is not owned but shared in circles.

Every tribe carries a distinct way of being in the world — a language of relationship between the human and the living Earth.
Across cultures and generations, each people has developed a unique understanding of what it means to be human, shaped by the landscapes and their rituals. From these relationships, diverse wisdom systems have emerged — each a mirror of how a culture perceives life and its responsibilities toward it.

Indigenous wisdom traditions hold precious tools for expanding the perspectives on the global challenges and creating possibilities for dealing with them in order to restore balance, and regeneration.

They remind us that solutions arise not from dominance, but from dialogue: from listening deeply to one another and to the more-than-human world.

Human Rights

Protection begins with listening — and the land speaks first.

Future Shaping Ethics advocates for the recognition and protection of the rights of Indigenous peoples as defined in the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP). We are committed to ensuring that their voices are heard and their territories are respected.

Indigenous peoples face globally persistent challenges related to human rights. We support Indigenous communities in their ways of being human, ensuring their voices and territories are respected and protected.

Reforestation

Protection begins with listening — and the land speaks first.

Trees keep the global climate stable and regulate the water balance. Where there are trees, there is rain. And where there are trees, the soil is rich and absorbent. Protecting existing forests is just as important as reforesting deforested areas.

Our support includes ecological regeneration, protection of land rights, and community-led conservation measures.

Free Expression of Thought

Independent Media

Free speech is the foundation of democracy and human evolution.

Independent media is essential for any democratic process. It allows diverse perspectives and therefore solutions to emerge. Yet today, freedom of expression and choice of lifestyle are increasingly under threat, while the rights and realities of minorities are often ignored or misrepresented.

We support independent, donation-based media initiatives that are professionally managed. All of them respect human rights and nature.
